Jon Snow and Daenerys first meeting - 10 minutes of gripping dialogue. Spoils of War - probably better than Battle of the Bastards. The idea that after Season 4 has gotten worse is completely not objectively true, as many viewers—including *snob* book readers—either liked or loved Season 6. Many critics even loved Season 5.

Warhammer 40k meets Game of Thrones in space. A gory damn good time. 4. Dagger and Coin series by Daniel Abraham Mr. Abraham has close ties with Martin and adapted a Game of Thrones into a comic series. He is also a great Sci Fi/Fantasy author. This series is rife with politics, backstabbing, and war. Yes 100%, it’s the best book series I’ve ever read, I would definitely recommend it. Just keep in mind, it isn’t finished and may never have an ending. The order is: A Game of Thrones A Clash of Kings A Storm of Sword A Feast for Crows A Dance with Dragons

This is the first time I've ever done the audio book thing; previously I was of the opinion that listening to the audio books wasn't "real reading." It seems like some of the individual smaller books have been combined and I want to try to avoid buying several books that include the same stories in them. It seems like I would start with Fire and Blood, but then couldn't figure out all the books that include Dunk and Egg's stories.
Blood of the Dragon is a novella based on Dany chapters from the book, which didn't get released before the books. Fire and Blood is his new book, set before the ASOIAF series, but not released before them. Read in publication order. Or all the books in the ASOIAF series then all other book in the world in publication order. Additionally, there is a third viewing option available, a streamlined 'machete' order.
